The Czech Republic belongs to the countries with long tradition of horse breeding, horse riding and horse racing. Aviation sports
The beauty and variability of the Czech and Moravian landscape can be seen not only from the ground, but also from the bird’s-eye view, from the board of a tourist airplane or from a balloon. The view of mountain massifs, lowlands, mirrors of water areas, the green of woods alternating picturesque villages and towns with old castles and chateaus is the best from the “bird’s perspectives”.
Fishing
Many tourists come for fishing to the Czech Republic. There are several angling organizations taking care of keeping the rules of fishing: Český and Moravský rybářský svaz (Czech and Moravian Angling Union), Státní lesy (State forests), Vojenské lesy (Army forests), the Ministry of Environment and some independent registered angling organizations.
Water sports
There are numerous places in the Czech Republic (such as water dams, artificial water reservoirs and lakes), which offer excellent conditions for various water sports. Sport equipment for yachting and windsurfing can be rented in local sport clubs and camping sites.
Water tourism
Travelling on water can be pleasant and exciting form of tourism and discovering natural and cultural beauties of the country. Sailing on Czech rivers flows along beautiful natural sceneries, landscapes, which are rich in cultural and historical sights. Some of the sights are located on the rivers or nearby.
Winter sports
Winter sports fans have top equipped mountain centres to their disposal, which offer good quality slopes, tracks, bob-sleigh runs and technical sports background. Several localities were chosen for organizing prestigious sports events (the World Cup of ski-flying in Harrachov, Zlatá lyže in Nové Město na Moravě). Ski and snowboard schools provide their services in every skiing centre, as well as ski rentals.
