Chropyně
A Renaissance chateau on the site of an older keep, linked to the legend on the good King Ječmínek. The castle was remodeled in the 17th century for František Ditrichštejn, the Bishop of Olomouc, a further refurbished in the 19th century.
Visitors can view the chateau’s Romantic interiors (the Ječmínek Hall, the Knights’ Hall), the meeting hall, picture gallery showcasing works by Czech artist Emil Filla, and a memorial to musician E. Axman. The Ječmínek’s table is decorated with wood inlays representing a set of silverware and a rose. The chateau collection dates back to the Thirty Years’ War period
