A late-Baroque chateau on the site of a Gothic stronghold, expanded at the end of the 16th century; part of the fortifications with bastions has been preserved.
The permanent exhibition focuses on the family history of the Černín dynasty, the linguist Josef Dobrovský and the period of national awakening, poet and writer Jaroslav Kvapil, a pedagogue K.S. Amerling. The so-called Angels‘ Room dates back to 1600.
