About Czech Republic
Frýdek
Originally a 14th century castle, remodeled in the Renaissance style and expanded in the Baroque era. The interiors are largely Classicist, with elements of various pseudo-styles (e.g., the Kinghts’ Hall decorated with the insignia of Silesian nobility.)
The exhibition presents furniture arrangements representing the living styles of the aristocracy at the middle class from the 18th through the 20th century, as well as an exhibit on “The Beskydy Mountains, Their Nature and People”. A Marian pilgrimage site.
