Helfenburg (Hrádek) near Úštěk
The romantic ruin of a 14th-century Gothic castle built upon a rocky cliff, significantly expanded by Archbishop Jan of Jenšetjn. Abandoned after 1591. The tower was restored at the end of the 19th century.
There is a well-preserved crenellated fortification wall with entry gates and footbridges. A massive three-storey tower was remodeled as a lookout tower. This is the best-preserved castle of the Prague archbishopric from the era of Václav (Wenceslas) IV.
