Originally an early-Gothic bishop’s castle, remodeled in the 16th century into a formal Renaissance chateau, with an extensive English park.
Visitors can view the chateau‘s Gothic cellars, the bishop’s chapel, Renaissance interiors, the armory, the interiors of the Burgrave’s palace, a riding hall, historical lighting fixtures, tableware and porcelain, textiles, personal and travel accessories, ethnographical collections, a folk furniture. The windows of the bishop’s chapel feature unique colored glass manufactured in an original technological process.
