3 tips for dance lovers

Anyone who loves dance should start thinking about planning their stay in the Czech Republic.

Just over two months remain until the festival Czech Dance Platform 2010 in Prague, which will present the best of Czech dance. Other prestigious events also will take place in connection with the festival.

The Czech Dance Platform 2010 festival will take place from 16 to 20 April at the Ponec theatre and other stages in Prague. The festival program presents the most successful works in the field of Czech contemporary dance and movement theater from the season 2009/2010 during five days. For dance ensembles, performers and choreographers the festival is a meeting place for discussion of foreign and domestic experts. Visitors have an opportunity to express their impressions of the performances in the audience poll deciding the winner of the Audience Award.
Those dance lovers unable to catch this festival can head to the international festival Tanec Praha 2010, at which world dance stars and the best Czech dancers will be presented, and to the festival Dance for Children. The latter will present children’s dance troupes and performances oriented toward children. Both events will be held from 24 May to 29 June in Prague and several other cities in the Czech Republic.
