Aviation fair
The 20th aviation fair in Pardubice. This year we celebrate a century of public exhibitions of aircrafts.
The Czech Republic will appropriately celebrate hundred years of flying during the first week of June and will come back to life by aviation.
This year´s Aviation Fair, that will be held at Pardubice airport on 5th and 6th June, will happen a grave celebration. While viewers saw only a short exhibition of one aviator in former times, nowadays it is a great flight program lasting over six hours.
There will be presented a single flying specimen of an airplane Curtiss Hawk75. The machine will come flying from its home base of Duxford in England, where The Fighter Collection keeps it in custody. Hawk 75 together with type Dewoitine D-520 was the best air-fighter at the Battle of France in 1940. In the history of Czechoslovak resistance it particularly has a privileged position, because our fighter pilots Peřina and Vašátko conquered most of their aerial victories with this air-fighter over the German Luftwaffe pilots.
The celebration of one hundred years of flying are prepared for Czech and Slovak pilots and their machines. The only exception in the main program will create their former adversaries the German Luftwaffe planes. Undoubtedly the biggest attraction of these planes will be the only specimen of flying air-fighter FockeWulf Fw-190, which will have its Central European premiere in Pardubice this year.
