Baby park Janské Lázně – The first rope park for small children in the Czech Republic

A rope park was opened in Janské Lázně from summer 2008.

In addition to a large park with 40 obstacles set between 4 and 12 metres above the ground, you can also find here the first rope park for small children.

Until now, children under 140 cm were not given access to the rope park due to height restrictions. In Janské Lázně, the first rope BABYPARK has been built that specifically caters to children from 100 to 140 cm in height. The children are protected with safe self-securing equipment.

The large park (for those taller than 140 cm) consists of 40 obstacles of varying difficulty, including 4 ropeways, 1 jump and 3 vertical ladders. Passage through the entire park takes 2–3 hours.

Other sporting possibilities:
• Four-wheeled bikes – time needed varies between 2 and 3 hours depending on the circuit chosen.
• All-terrain scooters – a downhill run down the peaks of the Krkonoše Mountains along asphalt and forest roads, include all necessary equipment and accompanied by an instructor.
• Mountain walking trips – organised trips to interesting localities in the Krkonoše area, including, for example, a trip to the Pine Mountain Farm and Aichelburg castle, to Sněžka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, to Obří důl (Giant Mine) together with a visit to the underground gallery, and others. Clients are accompanied by a qualified instructor at all times. • Climbing and abseiling – The aim of the programme is to introduce the visitor not just to the equipment used and the essential techniques of rock climbing but also especially to allow them to try a climb and defy the laws of gravity. We climb at localities in Janské Lázně, the Hnědé rocks near Strážné and the Čížkovy rocks near Trutnov.
• Archery – instruction in the basics of archery under the direction of an expert instructor. The important thing is not only to hit the bullseye but also to try something new.
• Nordic walking – walking with special poles. From classic walking has arisen this highly effective training for the whole body. This pleasant and healthy style of movement can be practiced by everyone, from competitive athletes to beginners, both young and old.
• Rafting – very light rafting suitable even for families with children. The trip includes transfer to Malá skála (little rock) by organised transport and the subsequent excursion on the River Jizera under the supervision of an instructor.
• Tandem paragliding – During the summer, on a tandem paraglider with a qualified pilot-instructor, you can admire the beauties of the Krkonoše Mountains and Janské Lázně from a bird’s-eye view. Flights are from the summits of the Černé (Black) Mountains.
