Beer specials and rarities in Prague
During the visit of the Czech Republic you can taste both traditional czech beer and beer specials and rarities.
The Prague Beer Museum in Dlouha Street offers special beers of small and medium large breweries for all lovers and experts of good Czech beer each day from 12 am to 3 am. All fans of various types and flavors of beer will come into their own - the offer includes dark and light lagers, unpasteurized beer, with wheat, honey or vanilla flavor, etc.
The Prague Beer Museum offers 30 kinds of draught beer from breweries from the all Czech Republic. Each beer is described here - its composition, taste, and a brewery, where it was brewed. Moreover, these marks of beer changes each month so you can always taste something new.
In 1989, only one special beer was brewed in the Czech Republic, last year it has more than 178 types of beer of small breweries, plus 83 non-traditional beers of major breweries. And right here is the possibility to gradually taste them.
The Prague Beer Museum also prepares a special event - The Night of emptying barrels. The clearance sale takes place in the end of each month to make a place for new brands. There are also tapped beer cocktails and prepared various beer games at the pub of the museum.
Brewery House in Jecna Street – Come and Try Coffee or Banana Beer
Immediately after opening in the spring of 1998, this mini brewery with restaurant became one of the most popular establishments in Prague. The mini brewery, which is a dominant feature and a part of the restaurant interior, offers at least eight types of beer. Apart from "Štěpán", a light and dark classic Czech lager beer, you can also try beers here, which you won’t find anywhere else.
For example these include wheat beer, coffee beer, cherry beer, nettle beer, banana beer or at least 1 special of the month according to the current offer. One peculiar speciality is "sparkling beer wine", known as Šamp and the beer aperitif Black Hill. The kitchen offers the best of traditional Czech cuisine all day long. Beer is used to prepare some dishes – from starters to desserts.
Interior of the Brewery House is decorated with a collection of images from current and defunct breweries. There is also a collection of Czech beer glass and a small museum of brewing machines in the interior. The basement space is called Salanda of Brewery, where guests can have a good time with music and singing.
