Carriage Museum in Čechy pod Kosířem
In Čechy pod Kosířem in the Prostějov District you will now find the completely new Carriage Museum. The exhibition boasts 40 to 50 period carriages, sleighs and other period items.
In the museum you can see a combination of splendid carriages, which serve the man in the joyful moments of life, but also those that were selected for the final journey.
It is a unique collection, only one of its kind in the Czech Republic, which would like resemble the Imperial Museum of coaches in Schönbrun.
Come and experience the work of our ancestors and visit the exhibition, which includes:
- 40 to 50 carriages, including sleighs
- the largest collection of lanterns in Central Europe
- the largest collection of funeral carriages
- the largest collection of coronation coaches
- restored carriages and in original condition
- a restoration workshop
- a gallery of documents and prints
- sound, lighting and film projection

The 3rd annual of international festival of masters of wheelwright craft called „Josefkol 2010“ will take place at Castle Park Čechy pod Košířem on July 24 – 25, 2010.
The museum is open daily from 9.00 am to 5:00 pm, except Monday. Off tourist season requires a telephone reservation.
