Conference centre in Liblice Château

Following reconstruction of the rooms in Liblice Château, a modern conference centre has been created that fulfils the growing need for rooms equipped with the latest conferencing equipment and technical facilities.

The fusion of Baroque château architecture with conference rooms equipped with up-to-date technologies, used for organising seminars or training courses at the international level, is unique.

Château Liblice offers luxury accommodation within the château itself. The east wing of the château complex has been fully reconstructed, bringing the total accommodation capacity up to 80 beds.

The situation of the château, on the edge of Liblice village, enables the fulfilment of special security measures at the client’s request, including the guarding of VIP persons or providing security for an entire event. Among the other advantages of Liblice Château is its accessibility from Prague (40 km from Prague).
The château is complemented by a French style château park with a ceremonial courtyard. The château park leads into a deer reserve, consisting of the former château forest and a pheasantry. The central section of the deer reserve contains the protected nature reserve Slatinná Louka u Liblic.

History of the château
Between 1699 and 1706, Count Arnošt Josef Pacht of Rájov ordered the construction of a magnificent château to be built according to the plans of Giovanni Battista Alliprandi, who partly made use of the original plans of the Viennese architect Johann Bernhard Fischer of Erlach. The decoration of the château continued up to the second half of the 18th century. From the end of the 19th century up until 1945, the château was the property of the Thun-Hohenstein family. In 1952, the château was given to the Czech Academy of Science to serve as a representative building for organising congresses, symposia and conferences.
