Czech Golf Season 2010
More than 100 clubs, over 80 golf courses, quality service... These are all reasons why the Czech Republic is becoming more visible on the world golf map.
Let’s take a closer look at what players can look forward to during this season.
Top events of the season
This season’s top events will be two tournaments that are part of prestigious golf tours and will be attended by professional players from around the world.
The Czech Golf Open 2010 is part of the PGA European Tour and will take place in Čeladná from 18 to 22 August 2010.
The PGA Senior Tour includes theCasa Serena Open 2010, which will be held for the third time in Roztěž near Kutná Hora between 17 and 19 September 2010.
New golf courses
The offer for golfers in the Czech Republic is continually growing. Last year, new members joined the family of Czech golf courses – the courses Albatross (18 holes), Ostrožská Nová Ves (9 holes) and Osyčina (6 holes). Meanwhile, some courses grew from 9 to 18 holes – Beroun and Mladé Buky. There are today 82 courses to choose from in the Czech Republic. This trend will continue this year as well. We expect additional courses to be opened throughout the Czech Republic, for example in Srbsko, Český ráj (Bohemian Paradise), at Slapy Dam, in Velké Karlovice, Kynžvart and other places.
1 Green fee : 2 Golfers
With the project 1 Green fee : 2 Golfers, supported by CzechTourism, the Czech Republic saves golfers money. Vouchers for discounted games will soon be distributed through CzechTourism’s foreign offices (FOs) in the UK, Scandinavia, Poland and Slovakia. These vouchers can be used at 39 Czech courses through 31 December 2010.
