Exhibition of spices and herbs

The exhibition of spices and herbs includes an exhibition of photographs of exotic spices and an exhibit of live plants and exotic spices in the Fata Morgana greenhouse. In the exhibition hall there is ready an exposure Spices and herbs in the kitchen of our grandmothers. You acquaint with the most frequently used spices and herbs here, which were used in the kitchen of our grandmothers and you enjoy the atmosphere of home cooking hundred years ago. You return to time without electronic robots and fryers, but with wooden spurtles, mortars, stoneware utensils and necessary live herbs of grandmother cuisine.

Since the days when people discovered the ability to improve a roast or mash by adding different herbs, they innovate the cookery and using of herbs and spices. Today, the herbs and spices are imported more than ever before, and not for everyone is easy to orientate in them.

At the exhibition of spices and herbs you see the traditional spices and exotic interesting things, you learn their use and about some of them also historical attractions. In the Fata Morgana greenhouse is exposed exotic spices, which you might not have seen before. You learn which spices were delivered by the Spaniards from America and which from Asia. On display are live herbs and various saucers and mortars, in which the natives are still cooking in their bamboo huts in the tropics of all the world .
