Festival Talich's Beroun
The Talichův Beroun Festival, named after a world-renowned conductor, is held annually in autumn, this year from Oct 07 to Nov 11, 2008.
This festival became an integral part of cultural offer in Beroun. The town arranged it from year 1983 in honour of world-known Václav Talich, the conductor of Czech Philharmonic, who spent many years of his life in Beroun.
This originally small event has developed into a large festival. The great orchestral ensembles and small music groups and soloists perform in six concerts. Foreign interpretative artists and composers are also invited to this international festival.
The festival runs annually, generally from the half of November at the hall of Česká pojišťovna. This year goes on the 26th annual volume.
