First spring fair in Europe has begun!
When the gates of the Mathew’s Fair (Matějská pouť) open, it is as if spring has come to Prague.
This year, the first spring fair in Europe celebrates its 45th anniversary and there will be a true birthday party at the Exhibition Grounds until 13 April. The celebration will include cotton candy, music and, especially, such attractions as a jumping castle, motor-racing circuit and roller coaster.
The close of the Mathew’s Fair does not, however, mean an end to the entertainment at the Exhibition Grounds. Twenty-two attractions will remain in operation throughout the season. Moreover, the fair is open until 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays!
