House of Bohemian Switzerland – information center with exposition

A brand new information center of the Bohemian Switzerland, which became a gateway to the National Park of Bohemian Switzerland and its surroundings, was opened on the Krásná Lípa square.

The House of Bohemian Switzerland offers several interesting services as well as a possibility of learning more about the natural and cultural property of this unique region in an entertaining way.

Bohemian Switzerland – Life, Mystery, Inspiration – this is the name of an exposition no visitor of this region should forego. It is a brand new modern exposition, which will show visitors both history and nature and draw their attention to the unique cultural property and interesting personalities of the Bohemian Switzerland region. The whole exposition is located on two floors with various interactive exhibits such as: windmill, salmon way, landscape labyrinth and more. The exposition also includes a panoramatic projection, Landscape borne by sand and sea, and a cinema with a capacity of up to 50 seats. It is in this room where the highlight of the visit, a twenty-minute moving film Mysterious Landscape with impressive views of the Bohemian Switzerland scenery, takes place. The bilingual exposition (Czech and German) is created to capture interest of all age groups of visitors.

The Bohemian Switzerland information center on the ground floor provides complete tourist service about the region; there is an internet café, an eco-corner with an offer of Bio and Fair Trade food (plus environment-friendly and local products), and a possibility of buying transportation tickets and entrance tickets for places of attraction in Saxon Switzerland. Accommodation and tourist guide services are also available. Last but not least, the information center offers wide choice of goods such as maps, guides, publications about the region, and souvenirs.
