How to restore historical monuments

Veltrusy Castle is still under reconstruction, but the management of the castle makes available selected areas of the castle to visitors for this season.

There is displayed an exhibition dedicated to the restoration and other professional activities involved in the rescue of monuments. The exhibition is open till September 30, 2009.
Visitors have the opportunity for the first time since the floods of 2002 to visit the castle rooms and also to look behind the scenes of reconstruction and get to know the dangers that threaten monuments with spheres that are involved in the rescue of monuments.

Typical tours of the castle interiors are still inaccessible because of the overall reconstruction of the castle. However, the castle offers tours to unique functional greenhouses with channel heating and floral assortment documented since the 18th century. The visitors can also see examples of the cropping production and arrangement of a park.
