Information centre of revivable sources and hydro-electric power Hučák in Hradec Králové

In addition to a steam power from 1910 was built a run-of-river power station in 1912. In the building of the power station was established an information centre.

The information centre presents a variety of principles and the use of energy resources - water, wind, solar or biomass in serious and playful form with a help of interactive exhibits.

Art Nouveau building was built according to the design of Francis Sander, technical project of the water power developed a director of Prague electrical companies Mr. Karel Novák. As the power station grew close to the so-called "Hučavý" weir, it still says Hučák.

In cinema you welcome Four Seasons - rare film work on 12 m wide screen. The fact that man can use all natural forces, you convince a well-known conductor Organ Orchestrovič Bauer and his newly revised classic musical work Four Seasons by Vivaldi.

Man always uses renewable sources from time out of mind - lovers of history will appreciate the rare historical machines and models borrowed from the collections of National Technical Museum - for example a model of lumbersaw, model of mobile water pumps to wind drives, the real historical turbines etc.

The modern use of renewable sources gets closer the real solar panel revolving to the sun like sunflowers. You can study a structure and function of the real biomass boilers. In underground of the exposures you reveal a heat pump, which supplies the entire object with heat.

Children can play with sailboats and solar cars in the information center, can admire a wooden water-wheel, an authentic model of a modern wind power plant and a real many tonne water turbine in the courtyard. Computer games examine their knowledge of energy crops and a skill in constructing of a dam. Without worry you can let them invoke a tornado - the information center offers the first working model of the wind tornado in the Czech Republic.

For the school trip is ready a small laboratory and schoolroom - offering a technology to supplement the study or utilities for experimenting with renewable resources, including guides.
