International Theatre Festival MIRACULUM ČESKÝ KRUMLOV 2008

International Theatre festival featuring Czech, Austrian and German theatre companies.

International Theatre Festival MIRACULUM Český Krumlov 2008 will take place on Oct 16 – 20, 2008 instead of the originally planned date Oct 23 -27, 2008.

The concept of the new festival MIRACULUM exploits the unique beauty of the town Český Krumlov with a silhouette of the caste, and expertly restored large complex of historical buildings, in connection with the inscription of the town on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992, as well as rich cultural traditions enabling perceiving the town as a miracle coming alive.

The aim of the festival is to revive genre and form traditions, connected with the theatrical history of Český Krumlov. The presentation programme range leads from classical performances to improvised forms such as commedia dell’arte, street and carnival theatre, slapstick and modern pantomime, new circus with juggling, acrobatics, stilt-walking etc.
