Lešná Chateau will be opened extremely during Easter
After a long winter break, you can again visit Chateau Lešná which is located in the Zoo Zlín about 4 km from town Zlín in the Zlín region.
Lešná was originally a Late Baroque chateau, demolished in 1887. On its place a new Romantic chateau in pseudo-style was built. The chateau has a unique technical equipment from the turn of the 19th and the 20th centuries – a power station, a water station with water tubes, a central heating and a house telephone.
In the chateau garden grow around 220 rare trees and bushes, some of them are 270 years old. A part of the garden is a deer-park and a number of water reservoirs.
On a tour of historic halls you can get this year for the first time on Friday 2 April, afterwards during the weekend and Easter Monday always from 9 am to 4 pm.
The Lešná Chateau and Zlín Zoo are among the most beautiful sites in all of Moravia.
Zlin Zoo belongs to the most visited zoological gardens of the Czech Republic. The Zoo is a unique place where visitors can see animals from all continents running free in the natural biosphere-parks. The animals here live in successful imitations of their original environments. Birds live in aviaries reminiscent of their native countries and mammals are exhibited in naturalistic enclosures.
An originality of the Zoo is a division of animals into continent areas. In one day visitors will travel to Africa, Asia, Australia and South America and learn 210 species of animals.
