Offer of Lednice monuments throughout the year

Not even winter puts Lednice to sleep. In the village Lednice in the South Moravia the main tourist season was expanded all year round.

Ordered groups can visit Lednice chateau, visit the castle riding hall with exposure Aquariums Malawi or an unique exhibition of the famous explorer Rudolf Švaříček - Mysterious Indonesia (open every Saturday and Sunday).

The chateau with its French garden and a large English park belongs to one of the most romantic sights not only in the Czech Republic but also throughout Europe. The Lednice-Valtice area has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1996.

With a surface area of 360 m2, this exhibition of aquariums has a total capacity of 40,000 litres. In the aquariums, one can see an entire aquatic world, beginning in Africa, crossing South America and ending in Indonesia. In certain tanks, it is possible to observe fauna from the largest of African lakes, Malawi and Tanganyika, as well as South American catfish and predatory piranhas.

In a local park is possible to walk to the minaret and ruins Janohrad. However these two sites will remain closed in winter.

Visitors can visit the Lednice palm greenhouse, the largest building of its kind. The greenhouse is open all winter, except in January, on weekends and holidays from 10 am to 4 pm.

Sailing in the Lednice-Valtice area
From November to March, at the weekends and holidays, ships in winter arrangements cruise river Dyje. If weather allows and the river does not freeze you can enjoy sightseeing voyages. From warm boat's cabin you can observe the beauty of winter castle park and flooded forest and enjoy a cup of mulled wine. During Advent you can listen Christmas carols. You can enjoy sailing along two routes: from the Lednice chateau to the Minaret and from there to John's castle (Janův Hrad, Janohrad). Ships will sail from a dock under the chateau on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

A novelty is also an offer of local medicinal therapies of the youngest Czech spas. A new spa resort has been opened at this place of natural beauty and fairytale castles. A bath house Perla is a modern rehabilitation facility close to the castle garden. It provides a comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation services, using the effects of natural iodine-bromine mineral water, which has beneficial effects on locomotive and circulatory system, the neurological disease, but also gynecological problems and conditions after burns.
