Prague Zoo offers tours after dark
In December you can visit Prague Zoo also after dark. Prague Zoo does not close even for Christmas. It is open every day, so you can go and see the animals even on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
During guided tour after dark you will walk through the lower part of the Zoo, you will visit a pavilion of felines and others. You will visit particularly heated pavilions. You'll see, among others, how spend tigers and gavials their winter evenings or how wake up fruit bats at night.
Evening tours you can visit on Friday and Saturday 18th – 19th December 2009, during Christmas holidays every day (December 26 – 30, 2009). Tours always start at 5 pm, 5:30 pm, 6 pm. The first term from 5 pm is reserved for parents with children. Other terms are intended for adults.
The capacity of each tour is limited, so it is necessary to make a reservation advance.
Another novelty of the Prague Zoo is free admission for all every Monday till Christmas.
Prague Zoo is located in a beautiful, terrain Troy basin. Zoological garden was first opened in 1931 with 200 animals. Currently boasts of 670 species and almost 5 thousand individuals. The Zoo covers 60 hectares, of which 50 ha consists of exposure to animals. There are 10 pavilions, 150 exposures, 2 restaurants, 7 snacks, cable car, train and other attractions for children and adults.
