Prague’s Chocolate House

This Chocolate Museum houses many interesting and unusual things. You can learn a little about chocolate’s 3,000-year-long history.

For instance the Maya and Aztecs used it as a drink, believing it had magical properties. You’ll see how chocolate is processed today and there’s a live chocolate making demonstration at the museum. Here you’ll experience chocolate pleasures with all the senses!

In addition to classic history of chocolate and chocolate exhibits, the museum presents a world-renowned and unique collection of hundreds pictures painted with white, dark, milk and coloured chocolate by a professor of art and drafting Vladomír Čech. The museum also has an exhibition on the history of chocolate in the Czech Republic and a summary of the most interesting Czech producer of chocolate.

The museum presents:
- history, cultivation, production, tasting and demonstration of chocolate making
- history of chocolate in this country
- presentation of today's manufacturers of chocolate in the Czech Republic
- history of development of chocolate wrappers
- tasting surgery of Choco Doctor with guided theatrical tour of the museum and tasting of 10 kinds of hot chocolate, or liqueurs (for adults) with a tasting and demonstration of production of truffles
- a chocolate shop offering a sale of Czech confectionery

The Chocolate Museum Bar will surprise you with a wide selection of hot chocolates, liqueurs, cocktails and unusual chocolate menu. The Chocolate Saloon will delight your senses with an offer of chocolate massages.
The museum also organized "Chocolate Party" in cooperation with local restaurant serving purely chocolate menu in combination with a tour and workshops.

The museum is located in Oldřichova Street, Prague 2 and is open all year round.
