Rosenberg Renaissance interiors in Trebon Chateau

A new exhibition at the Trebon Chateau called Rosenberg Renaissance interior presents primarily an alchemist's workshop from the time of Emperor Rudolf II., a library of Petr Vok and Rosenberg armory. This sightseeing tour acquiants with a time of one of the most important South Bohemian noble family.
Originally there was a pond fish museum at the premises, other installations were affected because of partial restitutions, and then a restoration of interiors of the Kratochvíle Chateau, because of Trebon lost a part of its furniture.
One of the major parts of the exhibition commemorates hobbies of the last descendant of an aristocratic family Peter Vok. The library emphasizes his love of books and his collecting represents a cabinet. Other rooms return visitors more to history - in times of Wilhelm von Rosenberg. Therefore, a mystique uncovers an alchemist laboratory. The exposure closes the Rosenberg armory, which stood on a site of the present brewery.
The history of the chateau
The Renaissance chateau is located in the place where stood an original manor farm, then a fortress and later a stone castle. In 1562 a fire struck the castle, which was spread from the burning city. That´s why the former owner of the estate William Rosenberg began rebuilding the castle into a Renaissance chateau and the other owner of the estate Petr Vok it finished. In 1660, a family Schwarzenberg gained the chateau.
