Salt cave in Klatovy
In a salt cave, there is the same microclimate as at the seaside. Curative effects of salt have been known for centuries and today we are still coming back to this source of health.
The newly opened salt cave in Klatovy is formed by salts from the Dead Sea and the Black Sea as well as from salt mines in Pakistan and in Poland.
The walls of the cave are made of massive salt blocks and the floor is covered with a 20 cm thick layer of salt. There is also a salt pillar, a waterfall, air moisteners, and colortherapy located in stalactites on the ceiling. For children, there is a salt pit where they can play.
Salt from the Dead Sea contains above all iodine, copper, magnesium, iron, calcium, kalium and other minerals. Salt from the Polish mine contains a lot of iodine, kalium, selenium, copper, and chlorides. A stay in a salt cave supports treatment of some illnesses such as bagassosis, asthma, bronchitis, skin ailments, heart-vessel ailments, some diseases of the alimentary tract, stress diseases, depressions, neuroses and tiredness. A stay in a salt cave provides for general preventive strengthening of the organism and is therefore suitable for all age groups.
The salt cave can accommodate 10 persons.
