The Bohemian and Moravian countryside in transformation over the centuries, at Kačina Chateau
The National Museum of Agriculture is preparing the comprehensive exhibition “The Bohemian and Moravian Countryside”, which will open in spring 2009 at Kačina Chateau.
The exhibition will present Bohemian and Moravian agriculture from the primeval ages up to the present days.
The exhibition will present, in chronological order and with thematic units, all the issues affecting the countryside in a given period (landscape, climate, settlement, the life cycle of a villager, his or her legal status, means of subsistence, feeding, housing, clothing, and more).
In addition to texts, pictures, photographs and supporting synopses, the exhibition also will include dioramas, models and other spatial elements. Audiovisual elements, such as sound distribution, computer presentations and the like, will also be installed in the exhibition.
