The Golden Salt Route Celebrations

An historic festival that commemorates the history and prosperity of the town of Prachatice during the 14th to 16th centuries.

Variegated program includes opening festivities, burghers procession, ceremony of handover of bailiff´s rights, opening of fanfares, arrival of sumpter, welcome beer and salt, taste of salt, the baptism of the 2nd class wine Via Aurea, parade of cultural associations of foreign partners, renaissance costume parade - burghers, fencers, renaissance music, jugglers, circus parade, children's program of fairy tales, competitions, music and dance performances.
