The completely renovated Zbiroh Château in the region of Rokycany

The Zbiroh Château, in the region of Rokycany, has been completely renovated. The Château offers an accommodation in a luxury château hotel with 55 rooms with double beds.

During summer 2008, a second château tour was opened for visitors that includes the underground hermitage, the keep tower, the prison of the Bohemian Lords and the unique château well, the deepest well in Europe.

One of the first aristocratic castles in Bohemia, this originally Gothic castle from the 12th century has been gradually rebuilt into the present neo-Renaissance château. Among its owners have been King Přemysl Otakar II, and the Emperors Charles IV, Sigismund and Rudolf II.

Zbiroh Château, surrounded by 60 hectares of English parkland, manages a large number of salons and halls, a medieval tavern, a château chapel and the oldest castle keep tower in the Czech Republic. The château is an ideal place for various social gatherings, company and private events, conferences, weddings and team building events. For company events, the château’s halls and salons are capable of holding up to 1,500 people, whilst the château’s park has an unlimited capacity. For smaller business and company events, a large number of salons are offered, each with a capacity of up to 10 people. Another part of the château is the large neo-Renaissance hall, where original curtains by Alphons Mucha are hung and in which the artist resided for 18 years whilst painting his celebrated Slavic Epic in the château.

Situated in the grounds of the château is the Rudolf II Medieval Tavern, with a period atmosphere and interior, and a range of original specialities.

Also at your disposal are all sorts of activities for groups, including sports, historical and adrenaline-charged attractions. It is possible to provide a complete congress service for company meetings and conferences, supported by the most up-to-date technology. Period château gala evenings and castle banquets are arranged in the historic halls. These exclusive historic premises are truly unique for their type in the Czech Republic.
