The tourist season starts in Kutna Hora spectacularly
Fifth year of the opening ceremony of the tourist season in Kutna Hora will be held this time in the footsteps of the Hussites or "Ye Who Are Warriors of God", the Czech Hussite song "Ktož jsú boží bojovníci".
You can go with non-traditional procession through streets of Kutna Hora and watch five scenes from the history of the town.
The program will start in the garden of the monastery of St. Ursula, where will take place the first of the scenes. Then the traditional parade will go in the footsteps of the Hussites over the Wenceslas Square, around the Marian column to the church of St. James.
At the courtyard of the Vlašský dvůr (Italian Court) King Zikmund will negotiate the Four Articles of Prague. The next stop will be on a grassy area near the statue of Karel Havlicek Borovsky, where a simulated battle will take place. The program will culminate at Palacky square, where Jan Rohac z Dubé will be executed on gallows.
A special guest of this year will be Richard Pachman, who will perform not only in the role of a singer but also of an actor and will read a message of Jan Hus.
The event will take place on 10 April, 2010 from 5 pm.
