Celebrations in Prague
The second annual of Prague celebrations will take up the strength of the cultural heritage of the city and historical roots of the Czech nation. This year, organizers have put together a menu full of concerts, theatrical performances, poetry readings, free access to galleries, museums and monuments, autograph signings with Olympic athletes and discussions with scientists. These events will take place in the centre of Prague mainly in the Old Town Square from May 14. – 15., 2010.

Concert of bells of Prague cathedrals
The Celebrations of Prage will start In common voice of bells. The concert will be held at the Old Town Square on 14th May from 8:00 pm. The Prague bells will ring together as a symbol of a treasure of the city and as best wishes not only for Prague and the Czech Republic.

Midsummer Navalis
A traditional baroque water festival, which takes place on the occasion of the commemoration of St. John of Nepomuk. The Charles Bridge, the river below it and surrounding banks rarely experience such an honor. You can enjoy a night concert of Baroque music, a regatta of historic boats, Venetian gondolas and fireworks over the river Vltava on 14th May.

Prague Spring 2010
Every year from 12 May to the beginning of June it brings over one thousand of artists at dozer of concerts to more than fourty thousands of concertgoers and thus remains one of the most important culture event in Czech Republic.
In 2010 you can look forward to the legendary Sir John Eliot Gardiner with the London-based English Baroque Soloists and Monteverdi Choir, who are in charge of prelude to the Festival. The opening concert has been entrusted to the Prague Philharmonia under its new chief conductor, Jakub Hrůša.
Two other living legends to appear at the 2010 Festival are Sir André Previn and Pierre Boulez. Amongst the other renowned musicians returning to the Festival are Anne-Sophie Mutter, Murray Perahia (together with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields), Anoushka Shankar, Garrick Ohlsson. Look forvard also to Herbert Blomstedt with Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Zoltán Kocsis and Hungarian National Philharmonic, Cristian Mandeal, Emanuel Ax, Olga Borodina, Matthias Goerne, Ewa Kupiec, Radu Lupu, Dianne Reeves and others.
