Trávníky educational path
The Trávníky educational path, which takes its visitors to the historical area of timbered and brick houses in the urban conservation area, was opened in Železný Brod.
It presents numerous monuments of folk architecture, brick classicist houses, and sandstone fountains.
The path leads among old wooden houses, which lack thatched roofs but still have typical small windows and little gardens in front of them. This part of the town is called Trávníky; it still retains the ancient character typical for areas set below the Giant Mountains. The alleys, which cross and branch, will lead visitors to interesting corners. The wooden houses, which look meagre at first sight, each have its own original character and distinctive beauty.
Educational path guide brochures and information leaflets are available in the information center; for little trevelers a play game with tasks.
