Woodcut of Czech rulers by Jarmila Haldová

The exhibition Woodcut of Czech rulers is held in the Galerie Belvedere at Jablonec nad Nisou till March 27, 2009.

The idea to create a complete set of Czech rulers contributed a work of 32 relief of saints for Catholic Foundation for the Blind.
The woodcutter Jarmila Haldová has dedicated this project of Czech rulers intensively for 11 years. She had gathered the historical materials much earlier.
The author studied the professional literature, searched the archives, consulted with historians and other experts.
She created nearly one hundred reliefs till this time and she continues hard.

There were a few complaints that led the author J. Haldova to the intention to create a gallery of characters of Czech monarchs and monarchs.
An admiration of portraits of kings and princes in the halls of castles and a desire to create a similar gallery for yourself.
The passion for the development of clothing and their use on the nobles and royal figures.
