XII.th Ceramics Market in Beroun

Visit already XII. ceramics market held in Husovo square in Beroun at the weekend in Sep 13 and 14, 2008.

The potters’ festival has been organised by the town of Beroun, in co-operation with the Beroun artist Vladimír Izbický, since 1997.

Since its inception, the market has become the most visited event in the town. The event attracts some 20,000 visitors each year, who view the craftwork of two hundred renowned pottery workshops from all over the Czech Republic.

The market is also famous for its fine food and drink, whether it be dishes from old Czech cuisine; excellent wines from Čejkovice, Karlštejn and Bojanovice; beer from the family-owned Berounský medvěd (Beroun bear) brewery; or delicious medovina (mead). Relaxed performances by music groups also form an integral part of the festivities.
