XII.th Karlštejn vintage

Two-days festival of wine with a rich programme and in the presence of the Roman Emperor and king of Bohemia, Charles IV and his yard.

A celebration of vintage is one of the biggest actions organized at the Karlštejn Castle and around it. It is held every year by the end of September. This year it will go on Saturday 27.9. and Sunday 28.9.

Program includes:
• Concerts of historical and traditional music
• Fencing performances at the castle courtyard and in the village
• Medieval fair in the village
• Classes of historical dances on the village square
• Grand royal joust
• Fire-eaters, fakirs and magicians
• Grand fashion parade of Gothic and Renaissance times
• Performances of royal heralds, trumpeters, pipers and court jesters
• Tasting of Karlštejn wines and stum
• Culinary specialities and pork banquets
