Žofín Garden – a new attraction on Slovanský Island
A new roofed garden restaurant with a magic view of the Vltava River and the historic heart of Prague awaits visitors to Žofín on Slovanský Island.
A sunny orangery, garden restaurant and open kitchen all combined in one space have been developed between the main building of the Žofín Palace and the historic garden summerhouse.
The restaurant is full of pleasant surprises, thanks to its interior designed as an orangery with live citrus fruit trees and palms, its cosmopolitan atmosphere, and the so-called “live kitchen”, as well as, for example, the emphasis on quality ingredients for its menu that even includes bio products. Furthermore, Czech specialties and grilled dishes are also offered. The restaurant prepares take-away dishes, too.
In designing the interior, the designer gave particular consideration to children, dogs and non-smokers. The area includes, for example, children’s corners, an adjacent children’s playground, barrier-free access, large space between tables for prams, and restrooms with nappy changing tables and small washbasins for children.
For efficient use of your time, Segways can be rented at the Žofín Garden and nearby there is also a boat rental service.
One of Žofín Garden’s objectives is to create a friendly environment where visitors can feel comfortable both while having a business lunch as well as at a night gathering with friends.
